Go Or Grow?

Do you find that everything in life is about perspective? I know at times it doesn’t feel that way, but it is.

During our lives we go through things. Maybe it’s the challenges of finding a new job. Have you ever had any relationship issues? It simply can be making a decision, any decision. Nevertheless, you know you are going through something.

But what happens if we look at what we are going through differently? What if we looked at it as what we are GROWING through?

One of the hardest lessons to learn is to change our perspective. It’s all about reshaping how we look at the situation. Maybe what we are going through is not happening to us but happening for us. And, if that’s the case (which is the better way to cope with the challenge at hand), how can we and will we grow through it?

Based on this premise, I want to introduce you to the tumbleweed.

If you have never seen one in real life, I know you have seen it in a television show or film. It has become synonymous with a situation being ominous. They appear when it is hot, dry, and dusty. The rolling tumbleweed indicates something bad is about to happen or something horrible just did.

The tumbleweed is a plant, a shrub that detaches from its root and rolls with the force of the wind. As it rolls, it disperses its seeds along the way. Scattered across a long and wide area, the seeds will germinate if they fall into a wet location and reproduces itself. And think about this, some tumbleweed species open when they encounter water. Talking about growing through it.

We can go through it, or we can grow through it. Which one will you choose?
